WEST GLACIER, MONT. – Officials at Glacier National Park report that new comfort stations have been installed in Bowman and Kintla Lake Campgrounds. In total, seven old vault toilets have been removed and were replaced with new prefabricated Sweet Smelling Technology® vault toilets. The new comfort stations, fabricated and installed by CXT, Inc., are American with Disabilities Act compliant.

This project was funded by "Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act" money. Superintendent Mick Holm commented, "Your park fees are at work making improvements here in Glacier. Approximately 80 percent of visitor entrance and campground fees stay in the park. Using fee money, we have been able to fund a variety of improvement projects including: installing these comfort stations, as well as the stations at the Loop; improving hiking trails throughout the park; designing new wayside exhibits; rehabilitating vegetation; and designing and constructing the new entrance sign in West Glacier."

Two toilets were replaced at Kintla Lake Campground and five at Bowman Lake Campground. Each toilet costs $18,000.
