WEST GLACIER, MONT. – U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) research ecologist Daniel Fagre, PhD, and his research assistants, Lindsey Bengston, and Erich Peitzsch, will present ongoing research about climate change issues in the alpine landscape, including the Global Observatory Research in the Alpine (GLORIA) campaign, glacier monitoring, and an avalanche vegetation study. Fagre, Bengston and Peitzsch work out of the USGS Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center and are stationed at Glacier National Park. This free, lunchtime presentation is open to the general public and will occur on Tuesday, February 2 from noon to 1 p.m. at the West Glacier Community Building located near park headquarters. |
