West Glacier, Montana – Artwork featuring 50 Glacier National Park artists will be exhibited at the Stillwater Gallery in Downtown Whitefish beginning May 16. The art will be auctioned at the annual fundraising gala, Spring for Glacier on May 26, at Lake McDonald Lodge.

The fabulous collection of original work by well known artists such as Mark Ogle, Turning Bear Mason, Rob Akey, Linda Tippetts, Dave Mihalic, Leonard Lopp, and Monte Dolack, depict many spectacular views of Glacier National Park. In addition, a C.M. Russell bronze, “Lone Buffalo” and Bob Scriver’s “Three Bears” bronze will be sold. Proceeds from the sale of the art benefit the Park’s four nonprofit partners, The Glacier Fund, Glacier Institute, Glacier Natural History Association, and the Glacier National Park Associates. Mary Robertson, President of the Glacier Institute, believes the art work in this year’s auction is “the best Glacier art we have ever assembled. The Stillwater Gallery is offering a preview so the public can see this fabulous artwork and submit a bid prior to the auction.”

Stillwater Gallery is located within Whitefish Pottery at 240 Central Avenue in Whitefish. The exhibit can be viewed May 16-25 from 10 a.m.-6 p/m/ Monday through Saturday and 12- 6 p.m. on Sunday. A reception will be held Friday, May 19, from 6-9 p.m. Call 862-1417 for more information.
