A local contractor was working on a carpet installation project at the Lake McDonald Lodge when it is believed that he died of natural causes. Park dispatch received a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, regarding an unconscious male at the Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. Park rangers responded to find a 68-year old male from Whitefish unresponsive and not breathing. Park rangers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other life saving measures, but the man was declared deceased through medical control and Three Rivers EMS Ambulance and Rescue personnel. The death is believed to be from natural causes. The contractor was at the Lake McDonald Lodge overseeing a carpet installation project. Cooperating agencies assisting with the incident included Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, Three Rivers EMS Ambulance and Rescue, and Glacier National Park Lodges (Xanterra). |
