Summer Hours and Programs Announced at Battlefield Park
FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA – Summer hours of operation and special summer programs will begin at all of the sites administered by Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park on Saturday, June 9, 2018 and run through Sunday, August 12.
Hours of operation for visitor centers, historic sites and contact stations for this summer are as follows:
Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center: Daily, 9-5
Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center: Daily, 9-5
Chatham: Daily, 9-4:30
"Stonewall" Jackson Shrine: Daily, 9-5
Wilderness Exhibit Shelter (on Rt. 20):
Historian on duty, daily, 9:45-5:00
Spotsylvania Exhibit Shelter (off Rt. 613):
Historian on duty, daily, 10-6
Old Salem Church: Saturdays and Sundays, 2-5
Ellwood: daily, 10-5
Join us for a guided program at the following times:
"Sunken Road" walking tour - leaves from Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center
Weekdays at 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, and 3:25
Saturdays and Sundays at 10:25, 11:25, 12:25, 1:25, 2:25, and 3:25
“Life of a Plantation: War, Freedom, Change” - leaves from Chatham
Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00
"Wounding of Stonewall Jackson" walking tour - leaves from Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitor Center
Daily at 10:25, 11:25, 1:25, 2:25, and 3:25
"Grant vs. Lee: No Turning Back" walking tour - leaves from Wilderness Exhibit Shelter
Daily at 11:30 and 2:30
"Bloody Angle" walking tour - leaves from tour stop #3 on the Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield
Daily at 1:00 and 4:00
Many of the programs will remain in effect through Monday, September 3 (Labor Day). An update on late summer hours will be available in August.
