Fort McHenry National Monument & Historic Shrine is Modifying Operations to Implement Local Health Guidance

Baltimore, MD – Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, in accordance with Executive Orders issued by the Governor of the State of Maryland, and in an effort  to support federal, state, and local efforts to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is announcing additional modifications to operations.  

As of 5:00pm on Saturday, March 28, 2020Fort McHenry NMHS will be closed to the public. This includes all park facilities, grounds, and parking lots.
 
The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners at Fort McHenry is our number one priority. The National Park Service is working with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor COVID-19. We will notify the public when we resume full operations and provide updates on our website and social media channels.  

Updates about NPS operations will be posted on the National Park Service Public Health Updates page. Please check with individual parks for specific details about park operations.
