Staff and volunteers will bring Fort Larned alive for one last time this summer over Labor Day Weekend. Come out to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a working frontier fort. Staff and volunteers dressed in period clothing will bring back the days when Fort Larned was an active army post. Visit with soldiers in the Barracks, ladies on Officers’ Row, and watch the blacksmith use fire and an anvil to forge iron into everyday objects.

CDC guidance for COVID precautions will be followed to allow for safe participation for attendees.

Fort Larned National Historic Site is located six miles west of Larned on Kansas Highway 156.
