Fishermen's Fo'c's'le

This space was built into the forward hold to accommodate the large crews needed for cod fishing. A wood-burning stove warmed the men in the cold Bering Sea. Originally a steep ladder led down into the space. The doors leading aft into the hold are a museum-period addition.
