Families enjoy the festivities at the 2024 Eisenhower NHS Easter Egg Roll

Saturday, April 4, 2026
The third annual Eisenhower National Historic Site Easter Egg Roll will take place on April 4, 2026 (with a rain date of Monday, April 6).
In 1953--after a hiatus during World War II--Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower brought the beloved Easter Egg Roll tradition back to the South Lawn of the White House.
To commemorate the original Eisenhower Easter Egg Roll, this event encourages young visitors and families to engage in fun-filled activities and learn about Eisenhower family Easter traditions at the White House. Kids will have the opportunity to decorate their own wooden egg and take part in an egg roll on the lawn of the Eisenhower home here in Gettysburg.
This event has been made possible through our continued partnership with the Gettysburg Foundation.
