In 1953--after a hiatus during World War II--Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower brought the beloved Easter Egg Roll tradition back to the South Lawn of the White House.

In 2024 and 2025, Eisenhower NHS hosted its own Easter Egg Rolls to honor this long cherished event. Visitors had opportunities to learn about Eisenhower family Easter traditions at the White House and how they enjoyed time with their children and grandchildren.

This event has been made possible through our continued partnership with the Gettysburg Foundation, and with the assistance of Destination Gettysburg, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society, and the Adams County Library.
