Contact: Kristin Gibbs, Supervisory Park Ranger, (570) 426-2430 Superintendent John J. Donahue announces that Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area will celebrate Halloween with the annual Octivities program at Millbrook Village, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 3-8 pm. From 3-6 pm, village buildings will be open with self-guided tours and historic demonstrations. A variety of seasonal crafts will be offered for children including apple-head and cornhusk dolls. Beginning at 6:30 pm, park rangers and volunteers will offer guided tours of the village by lantern light and storytelling around a crackling campfire. Tours begin in the parking lot and run every half hour. Participants should bring a flashlight and wear good walking shoes. Light refreshments will be available during the event. Admission is free.
Millbrook Village is located on Old Mine Road, 12 miles north of Interstate 80 (Exit 1) in NJ. Access is also available by taking Route 602 (Millbrook-Blairstown Road) seven miles west from its intersection with Route 94 in Blairstown.
