Free Outdoor Expo at Point of Gap Overlook Scheduled for July 11

Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Superintendent John J. Donahue announced today that an Outdoor Expo will be held in the park on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Point of Gap Overlook on Route 611 just south of the borough of Delaware Water Gap. The event is free and open to the public.  

The Outdoor Expo will highlight many of the businesses and organizations that are authorized to operate within the park and the products and services they provide.  All of the groups operate under Commercial Use Authorizations (CUA's) approved by the National Park Service. They provide guide services, education programs, instruction, and equipment rentals to park visitors for rock climbing, hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. Booths will be set up offering information on the services provided by each business or organization. The event will be held rain or shine.
