Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area Superintendent John J. Donahue announces that the Friends of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the National Park Service will sponsor Butterflies of the World, a Family Fun Day program, on Saturday, September 28, from 10 a.m. until noon. The program will be held at Bushkill Meeting Center off Route 209 in Bushkill, PA. It is free of charge and open to the public. The presentation will run from 10 to 11; crafts, activities and light refreshments will follow. Rick Mikula, owner and operator of Hole-in-Hand Butterfly Farm in Hazelton, PA, returns to the park by popular demand. “Mr. Mikula offers a lively and entertaining presentation on butterflies that is sure to be a hit with the entire family,” said Donahue. “After attending his program, you will notice more butterflies out there than you ever did before.” For more information, please call park headquarters at (570) 426-2452, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or visit our website at www.nps.gov/dewa. |
