Sulphur, Okla.– Join park rangers on Friday, December 22nd for “Winter Tales” at the Travertine Nature Center. The Christmas Bird Count will follow on Saturday, December 30th.
“Winter Tales” will be on Friday, December 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Travertine Nature Center. Visitors will have the chance to learn about winter constellations, learn about how cold-blooded animals survive the winter, and to make a craft to take home.
The Christmas Bird Count will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th at the Travertine Nature Center. Participants will sign up as volunteers and are welcome to stay just for a few hours in the morning or to continue into the afternoon. They should come prepared to spend most of the time outdoors, no matter the weather conditions.
