Sulphur, Okla.– Chickasaw National Recreation Area staff and volunteers are gearing up for the Candlelight Tour on December 6th and 7th. This community event is free, but reservations are required and can be made starting November 1st by calling (580) 622-7234 between 9am and 4:30pm. There are a limited number of tours for each evening and reservations fill quickly.
Visitors will experience a guided tour along candlelit paths as volunteers in period costumes act out a series of scenes about the history of the park. These dramatized scenes, combined with the beauty of the luminaries along the trails, give visitors an enjoyable opportunity to learn more about how the park came to be the place they know today.
There are still opportunities to volunteer for the Candlelight Tour. Please call (580) 622-7234 to find out more information about how to participate.
