Basic Information

The grounds (including all trails) at Camp Nelson National Monument are open from sunrise to sunset, seven days per week. Buildings, including the Visitor Center, the Perry "White" House, and the Barracks Building are not yet open due to ongoing renovations. The Visitor Center will reopen June 16th. Further questions about operations should be emailed to cane_info@nps.gov

Please note that passport stamps with the current month and year are available in a box next to the front door of the visitor center. 

Entrance Fees:

The Visitor Center will be open Wednesday through Sunday, from 9 to 5, beginning June 16th. The Visitor Center contains a museum and a short film about Camp Nelson's role during the American Civil War.
