Superintendent Mike Murray announced today the summary of options from the preliminary Alternative Options Workbook (Workbook) for the Off-Road Vehicle Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement is available to the public.
In January 2008, in order to facilitate public comment on preliminary alternatives, the National Park Service prepared a workbook describing a variety of management elements and options. The workbook was introduced to the general public at a series of public meetings held in Buxton, Kill Devil Hills, Raleigh, NC and Richmond, VA in January 2008. The comment period, originally set for January 31, 2008, was then extended until February 15, 2008.
