The Outer Banks Group of the National Park Service announces that the hours for the visitor centers at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, Wright Brothers National Memorial, and Cape Hatteras National Seashore will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for the fall season starting on Tuesday, September 5, 2006. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse hours will be 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily through October 9th. The children’s Junior Ranger program will continue through the off-season at each site. Check at any park visitor center to get a Junior Ranger booklet. Flight Room talks will be provided at Wright Brothers National Memorial. Programs at Fort Raleigh and Cape Hatteras will be posted as the respective park visitor centers. The National Park Service would like to thank all volunteers who helped staff visitor centers and provide summer programs, including two community volunteer groups: the Cape Hatteras Bird Club and Cape Hatteras Anglers Club. |
