(San Diego, California) The National Park Service is inviting the public to comment on the Draft Accessibility Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for Cabrillo National Monument. This plan addresses improvements to accessibility to this national park which hosts more than 1 million visitors a year.

This plan will guide changes to the way existing services, activities, and programs are provided in multiple locations throughout Cabrillo National Monument by defining what barriers limit accessibility and providing recommendations on how they can be modified or removed to increase accessibility for all users.

The public can comment on this draft plan by going to the National Park Service’s Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) website at https://parkplanning.nps.gov/projectHome.cfm?parkId=290&projectID=82695. Instructions for how to make and submit comments are on that website. Comments will be accepted until September 9, 2018.

The National Park Service values your interest in Cabrillo National Monument and we look forward to your participation in this planning process.
