Educational Program Options

Educators can select from two program types:

  • Ranger-Led Programs: Guided by knowledgeable park rangers, these programs provide students with an immersive experience, bringing the park's history and natural wonders to life. Please note: School groups are NOT permitted to enter the gift store to ensure a focused and equitable educational experience. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Self-Guided Programs: Ideal for those who prefer flexibility, these programs allow students to explore the park at their own pace while still engaging with its natural and historical significance.

Self-Guided Field Trips

Educational groups are invited to explore Cabrillo National Monument at their own pace through self-guided field trips. These visits provide an excellent opportunity to discover the monument’s natural, cultural, and historical features independently, without the need for ranger-led programs.

Key Information

  • No Reservations Required: Self-guided trips do not require advance reservations.
  • Fee Waiver Eligibility: Educational groups may qualify for a park fee waiver. Check eligibility and application details before your visit.
