Ranger-Led ProgramsIMPORTANT Updates for 2022: At this time, all participants of in-person programming are encouraged to wear a mask, but it is not required when with a park ranger. School groups are NOT permitted to enter the gift store under any circumstances. It distracts from the educational component of the visit and does not provide an equitable experience for all students. We appreciate your understanding. Consider connecting your students to the ultimate classroom with one of our Ranger-led field trip programs. In this section, you will find several options and planning resources to maximize your park excursion. If you sign up for a field trip, please make sure to check your spam folder for confirmation emails. Reservations are now open for in-person and virtual programming. Historical programs are fully booked for the '22/'23 school year.

Self Guided TripsIf you would like to have your educational groups out to Cabrillo without participating in our Ranger-led programs, we would love to have you! Reservations are not required for self-guided trips, however educational groups might be eligible for a park fee waiver. Tidepool Permit May Be RequiredIn order to protect this distinct and delicate ecosystem, Tidepool Permits are required for groups of ten or more to visit the tidepools at Cabrillo National Monument during low tides of 0.7' and lower. If your group numbers less than ten, no permit is required. Tidepool PermitsSelf Guided Activities
