Historical Programs

If you sign up for a field trip, please make sure to check your spam folder for confirmation emails.

During the pandemic, historical field trips will be available on a virtual platform from November 25th - December 17 and January 7 - June 14th. Scheduling is done on a first-come first-served basis.

Historical programs are available Wednesdays - Fridays, with two program time slots per day: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

Virtual programs last roughly 45 minutes. Reservations are for one hour to allow extra time for potential connectivity issues and interruptions.

Through several historical programs, dive into the unique history and cultural significance of Cabrillo National Monument. From learning about the native Kumeyaay tribes and how they survived on these lands, to the voyage of European explorer Juan Rodriquez Cabrillo in 1542. Reservations are required.
