The park's Maritime Heritage Trail consists of the Fowey Rocks Lighthouse along with the wrecks of 6 vessels from the 19th and 20th Centuries. Beginning with Florida's earliest inhabitants, people from around the globe have traversed the waters of present day Biscayne National Park. Some of these journeys ended in disaster. The park is home to the remains of many of these shipwrecks. The park's Maritime Heritage Trail offers an exciting opportunity to explore the remains of some of the park's many shipwrecks. |
