An opening reception takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. on October 22, 2017, that features an opportunity to meet the artist along with fellow author James A. Kushlan. The free exhibit and reception mark the beginning of the park’s 50th anniversary celebration.
In the new book Biscayne National Park, authors Kirsten Hines and James A. Kushlan tell the story of the park and area from thousands of years ago, the designation of a national monument in 1968, and to the present day. The exhibit celebrates the golden 50-year park anniversary with a selection of Kirsten’s recent photographs of the park. The exhibit is on display daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through January 14, 2018. Kirsten and James will be available to sign their book at the opening reception for the exhibit.
