Lovell, WY — Both Horseshoe Bend and Ok-A-Beh Marinas will be open for the Fourth of July weekend. Ok-A-Beh Marina has a variety of services including pontoon rentals, a small store, and fuel. The Horseshoe Bend Marina offers food, non-motorized rentals, and boat rentals.
As of June 30, 2026, the lake level is 3624.5 ft. The minimum launch level for small boats at Horseshoe Bend is 3620. The courtesy dock has been installed. Boaters are advised to avoid areas south of Horseshoe Bend and the South Narrows due to low water levels. The comfort station and docks at Black Canyon and Dayboard 9 are not yet available and will be installed if the lake level reaches 3625 ft and maintains. Docks are in place at Barry’s Landing and Ok-A-Beh, including the concession dock at Ok-A-Beh.
At boat launch areas, please use the rigging areas for boat prep and rigging before proceeding to the ramp to prevent backups on the road and delays on the ramps.
Driftwood levels are low. However, even small pieces of driftwood and debris can pose significant hazards. Boaters should maintain a proper lookout at all times.
Alcohol use is a leading contributing factor in recreational boater death. Boaters will see heightened enforcement on the lake over the 4th of July weekend.
Fireworks are prohibited at Bighorn Canyon.
