National Parks of the Southeast Utah Group (Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges national monuments) are planning a number of special events in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service.

The public is invited to join park rangers for a variety of activities leading up to Thursday, August 25, 2016 —the actual day the National Park Service turns 100 years old.

A list of currently planned special events can be found at:  go.nps.gov/SEUG100.

In order to see all event listings at the above link, change the calendar dates to include December 31, 2016.

As new events are planned they will be added to the list—so check back for updates!

Centennial activities across the country (including parks in the Southeast Utah Group) will also be posted on the NPS Centennial Activities page found at: http://findyourpark.com/find#centennial_events.

General information about the NPS Centennial is available at: https://www.nps.gov/subjects/centennial/index.htm
