Going-to-the-Sun Road Plowing Information

Plowing for the 2017 season is in progress.

The West Lakes Road Crew has pioneered through Triple Arches, half-way through the chute. Triple Arches is located about 29 miles beyond the West Entrance. They have not made much progress today due to avalanche danger and poor visibility.

The Hudson Bay Road Crew has plowed beyond Siyeh Bend area, located 15 miles from St. Mary. The crew has been plowing drifts up to 20 - 30 feet deep. They observed about 1 foot of fresh snow near Siyeh Bend this morning.
