Appomattox, Va— Five speakers will present programs at the 25th Annual Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and Longwood University free Civil War seminar on Saturday, February 3rd, on the Longwood University campus in Farmville, VA. The historians will delve into lesser know battles such as those at Secessionville, New Market and Lynchburg. Another presentation will highlight the use of community expertise and facial recognition to identify previously unknown soldiers in Civil War-era photos. The event is free and open to the public. No reservations are necessary.

When: Saturday, February 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: Jarman Auditorium (201 High Street) on the Longwood University campus in Farmville, VA. Directional signs will be posted on the Longwood University Campus. For directions to the campus go to www.longwood.edu.
