Tuolumne Meadows Area Shuttle

A map shows a stretch of Tioga Road between May Lake and Tuolumne Meadows, with ten shuttle stops along the way, as listed on the webpage. Shuttle stops run from 10 to the west end of the route to 1 on the east end.
 

Operating through September 13, 2026 (tentatively)

Use the Tuolumne Meadows shuttle for service between Tuolumne Meadows and Olmsted Point approximately every half-hour.

Sunday: Pickups between 8 am & 3:30 pm
Monday: Pickups between 8 am & 2 pm
Tuesday: Pickups between 8 am & 3:30 pm
Wednesday: Pickups between 8 am & 2 pm
Thursday: Pickups between 8 am & 3:30 pm
Friday: Pickups between 8 am & 2 pm
Saturday: Pickups between 8 am & 3:30 pm

 

Shuttle Stops

  1. Tuolumne Meadows Lodge
    At this stop: lodging, dining (by reservation), trails to Twin Bridges & Lyell Canyon
  2. Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Center
    At this stop: wilderness permit pickup
  3. Lembert Dome
    At this stop: picnic area, trails to Lembert Dome & Dog Lake
  4. Tuolumne Meadows Campground & Store
    At this stop: Campground, store, post office, grill
  5. Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center & Cathedral Lakes Trailhead
    At this stop: information, trail to Cathedral Lakes
  6. Pothole Dome
    At this stop: trail to Pothole Dome
  7. East end of Tenaya Lake
    At this stop: picnic area & lake access
  8. Sunrise Lakes Trailhead (west end of Tenaya Lake)
    At this stop: trail to Sunrise Lakes & Clouds Rest
  9. May Lake Trail eastbound ONLY.
    At this stop: trail to May Lake. Hike to lake is 5 mi (8 km) roundtrip, with 1100 ft (335 m) elevation gain.
  10. Olmsted Point
    At this stop: scenic overlook

Yosemite Hospitality offers a hikers bus between Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows and YARTS offers a Highway 120 East bus, as well.
