Yosemite Open House: Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Yosemite National Park will be hosting its monthly open house on April 28, 2010. The open house is from 1 to 4 pm in the Auditorium, located behind the Valley Visitor Center. Park entrance fees are waived for attendees. Project managers will be on hand to discuss the Invasive Plant Management Plan Update, the Wawona Road project, the Tioga Road EA, and many other ongoing projects.

During the open house, a park botanist will lead a tour of Cook's Meadow. The presentation will explore some of the challenges and successes in the battle to protect Yosemite’s biodiversity and discuss recent developments driving the need for the Invasive Plant Management Plan update. This 45-minute casual walk will depart from the open house; meet on the patio behind the Visitor Center at 2:30 p.m. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and bring a rain jacket, sunscreen, and water.
