Tioga Road between Crane Flat and White Wolf
Dense clusters of white flowers can be seen right now along the side of the road between Crane Flat and White Wolf. The plants are a bit taller than a marmot and you may also notice (even while driving the speed limit) that they have lance-shaped leaves all the way up the flower stems. These flowers are in the Aster family and probably get their common name from the fact that the flowers are sort of papery to the touch and can last a long time without wilting.
