VIENNA, Va. – Join us for a rare backstage tour and see where your favorite performers prepare for the stage! Ranger-led tours of the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts offer a sneak-peek at artist dressing rooms, rehearsal spaces, and the headliner performers’ room, known as the green room. You’ll also learn about the park’s unique history and the rebuilding of the Filene Center after a fire in 1982.

“Many people have attended a performance at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, but very few have seen the green room or have gained a performer’s perspective from the stage of the Filene Center,” Wolf Trap Superintendent George Liffert said. “These tours provide visitors with a behind-the-scenes look at the only national park dedicated to the performing arts.”

Spring backstage tours are scheduled for March 20, April 10, and April 24 and begin at 2 p.m.To register for a backstage tour, please call 703-255-1827 at least one day prior to the tour. Space is limited and registration is required. Backstage tours last about one hour and start at the stage door. Tours are also available for organized groups by appointment.

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts welcomes upwards of 7,000 visitors a night during the summer performance season.
