The environmental education program at Wind Cave National Park involves students in structured programs which describe and illuminate park resources and relate them to the broad concepts in natural and physical science, history, language arts, and mathematics.

Wind Cave also offers an on-site educational field trip, distance learning, and reservable cave tours. All programs work to immerse students in science, history and language arts.

Reservations for this program will begin on February 12th via email.

  In January through March, Wind Cave offers a 7-session series of programs for children 4-10 years old.

  Distance Learning

  Wind Cave offers schools near and far the chance to take a virtual field trip through the cave or on the surface.

  Parks as Classrooms

  Field Trips at Wind Cave

  This program immerses students in science and history through place-based learning. Schools may qualify for a fee waiver for cave tours.
