ALAMOGORDO, NM – White Sands National Park will hold its July Full Moon Night event on Thursday July 10, 2025, at 8:00 pm.

In partnership with Western National Parks, we are pleased to welcome the Out Cats for a performance at the park’s July Full Moon event. The Out Cats are a blues duo from Las Cruces, New Mexico that play a wide variety of blues, from Robert Johnson through Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, up to the Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, and Jeff Beck.

Join us for a relaxing evening on Thursday, July 10, at 8:00 pm in the park’s natural outdoor amphitheater where you can enjoy the radiance of the dunes beneath a full moon while listening to music and tapping your toes in the sand. The program is free, but park entrance fees will apply. To get to the amphitheater, drive approximately six miles beyond the fee station to an intersection just after the Backcountry Camping Trail parking lot. Take a right at that intersection and then the second left. Drive approximately one mile further and the amphitheater will be on the right side. The parking lot will open at 7:00 pm. The park will have extended hours of 7:00 am – 11:00 pm for the event. Seating is not provided at the amphitheater. You are encouraged to set up on the surrounding dunes and bring camp chairs, blankets, and coolers with food and drinks. Please help keep White Sands beautiful by packing out all your trash.

The Out Cats are Carlos Marrero and Neil Haverstick. They have been playing together since starting out in Socorro in 2023. They bring many years of playing and recording experience to the stage.

This is the second of four Full Moon Night events White Sands is hosting this year which will feature the cultural legacy of Southern New Mexico and the rich natural resources of White Sands. These events are a great opportunity to have a unique experience with the whole family under the light of the full moon.
