Second Saturday Stone Wall Tour
10:00 to 10:45 am on the second Saturday of the month through October, including August 8, September 12, and October 10
Stone Wall Tours are offered once a month in-season on the second Saturday. Join a park ranger on a ramble through the fields of Weir Farm National Historical Park to examine the three different types of stone walls on the property and learn about their rich history. The stone walls not only provide an opportunity to explore New England's geologic and cultural past, but they have also served as a source of inspiration to the artists that have lived and visited here for over 140 years. The tour will meet at the Park Sign out front of the Visitor Center - no registration required!

National Park Week Programs
1:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday August 22 and Sunday August 30
Celebrate America's story by kicking off National Park Week at Weir Farm National Historical Park on Saturday, August 22, or by joining us for National Junior Ranger Day on Sunday, August 30. On both days, stop by the event tent outside the Visitor Center from 1:00–4:00 pm to participate in a variety of fun activities, learn more about the National Park Service, create your own art, and earn a Weir Farm Junior Ranger Badge. Additionally, join a Park Ranger for a special guided hike to Weir Pond and complete the Weir Pond Wonders Junior Ranger activity together at 2:00 pm. These events are free, fun for all ages, and require no registration.
National Park Week is an annual celebration encouraging everyone to discover the places, programs, experiences, and stories of the National Park Service. Be sure to share your national park stories on social media using #NationalParkWeek, #NationalJuniorRangerDay, and #NPSBirthday.

B.A.R.K. Ranger Pet Portrait in the Park Day
9:00 -11:30 am on Saturday September 19
Bring your furry friend to Weir Farm to participate in our B.A.R.K. Ranger program and paint a portrait of your pet! All art supplies will be provided, and art instructors will be on hand to provide tips. When you’ve finished your painting, your dog can be sworn in as a B.A.R.K. Ranger and earn a certificate and dog tag. Pop in anytime between 9:00 and 11:30 am, no registration required. Can’t make a Pet Portrait in the Park Day? National Public Lands Day Volunteer Service Project

Weir Farm National Historical Park is hosting a trail restoration event in celebration of National Public Lands Day. Volunteers will assist National Park Service staff in trail maintenance and invasive plant removal, including restoring habitat and repairing park trails. Join your local national park in an effort to improve park trails for neighbors, hikers, school groups, dog walkers, and visitors. Tools, gloves, and water will be provided. Proper attire for the activity includes sturdy closed toe shoes, long pants, long sleeves, and hats. Sunscreen, insect repellent, and a bottle for water are recommended. This volunteer opportunity is appropriate for ages 10 and up, with parent or guardian supervision required for participants less than 18 years of age. Prior to the event, volunteer agreement forms must be signed by each volunteer, or their legal guardian if less than 18 years of age. Weir Farm Artists Collective - Opportunity for Local Artists to Gather and Build Community!

Calling all artists! The Weir Farm Artist Collective is a collaboration of independent artists following the tradition of creativity within the Weir Farm landscape. On the first Thursday of the month, May through October, the Collective will be gathering in the Burlingham Barn with a focused discussion topic. The third Thursday of the month will be a ‘paint out’-style gathering, where artists can come to the park and make art together.
