Weir Pond Wonders - Ranger Guided Tour
Sunday, October 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 am - No Registration Required!
Ranger Tom will guide you on a leisurely walk to explore the beautiful historic meadows, forest, and pond that have inspired artists for over 140 years. Dogs on leash are welcome. The tour will meet at the Park Sign out front of the Visitor Center - no registration required!
An Artists’ Garden - Ranger Guided Tour

Stroll through the stunning historic gardens on this guided tour with Ranger Amanda that highlights the beauty and history that inspired generations of artists. The tour will meet at the Park Sign out front of the Visitor Center - no registration required!
Take Part in Art - Informal Instruction in Watercolor and Landscape Painting - No Registration Required!
Sunday October 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Want a little help creating a masterpiece? Art Instructor Bobbi Eike Mullen provides informal instruction with our Take Part in Art watercolor supplies. Stop by and ask Bobbi for some pro tips on October 13 anytime between 1:00 to 4:00 pm, and remember free-to-use supplies are always available during Visitor Center hours! No registration required.
Owl Prowl - hosted in partnership with the Weir Preserve
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - PROGRAM AND WAITLIST NOW FULL
The Weir Preserve of the Weir Farm Art Alliance and Weir Farm NHP are hosting their 30th annual Halloween Owl Prowl. "Owlers" will gather for a presentation by Frank Gallo about owls that live in this area, followed by a hike into the Weir Preserve where Frank will attempt to call in screech owls, barred owls and great horned owls.
Park Ranger Presentation – An American Artist in Paris
Saturday, October 19 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
Park Ranger Amanda will give a presentation about Julian Alden Weir's time as a student in Paris. Amanda will highlight Weir’s studies at Les Ecole des Beaux-Arts, the places that inspired him while living abroad, and the relationships with other renowned artists he met along the way. Amanda visited many of these sites herself, and her presentation is sure to be a special one! Program will take place in the Burlingham Barn classroom space. No Registration Required!
Artist-in-Residence Open Studio Program - No Registration Required!
Saturday October 26, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Stop by the Artist-in-Residence Studio between 11 and 12:30 to meet October artist Catherine Sollman, view their work, and learn more about the Park's Artist-in-Residence program. Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Weir Farm. No registration required.
Weir Farm Artists Collective - Opportunity for Local Artists to Gather and Build Community!
The Weir Farm Artist Collective is a collaboration of independent artists following the tradition of creativity within the Weir Farm landscape. The first Thursday of the month will be a gathering in the Burlingham Barn with a focused discussion topic, and the third Thursday of the month will be a ‘paint out’ style gathering where artists can come to the park and make art together – parking for the ‘paint out’ days on third Thursdays will be in the overflow parking lot near the Weir Barn. Mark your calendars, upcoming dates include:
