Restroom facilities are closed on the following Federal Holidays (observed) in 2025: Monday May 26, Monday September 1, Monday October 13.

Burlingham House Visitor Center
June – October Hours: Wednesday- Sunday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Weir House and Studio Tours
June – October: Wednesday to Sunday
Tours start at the Weir House at 11:00, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00

As staffing permits, additional tours of the Studios may be offered between 10:00 and 3:00.

Artist-in-Residence Open Studio - No Registration Required!
Saturday September 20, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm
Stop by the Artist-in-Residence Studio between 11:00 and 12:30 to meet September artist Steven Bradbury, view his work, and learn more about the Park's Artist-in-Residence program. The Friends of Weir Farm will offer light refreshments and fun art activities for children at this year’s Open Studios. Join us - it’s informal and artsy! No registration required.

Take Part in Art - Informal Instruction in Watercolor and Landscape Painting with Bobbi Mullen
1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday September 21, and Sunday October 19
Want a little help creating a masterpiece? Art Instructor Bobbi Eike Mullen provides informal instruction with our Take Part in Art watercolor supplies. Stop by and ask Bobbi for some pro tips anytime between 1:00 to 4:00 pm, and remember free-to-use supplies are always available during Visitor Center hours! No registration required

Historic Gardens Day with Friends of Weir Farm
12:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 28

Join the Friends of Weir Farm for a fun pop-in event to celebrate the beauty of Weir Farm's historic gardens! The Friends of Weir Farm will have free activities for all ages and light refreshments. Several of the park’s dedicated Garden Crew volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the history, plants, restoration, and ongoing preservation of Weir Farm’s beloved gardens. No registration required – just stop by and smell the flowers! Rain or shine. This program is made possible by the support of the Friends of Weir Farm.

B.A.R.K. Ranger Pet Portrait in the Park Day
9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday October 11

Kick off the new B.A.R.K. Ranger program and paint a portrait of your pet at Weir Farm! All art supplies will be provided, and art instructors, Jama Hansonbrook and Kathie Milligan of the Weir Farm Artist Collective, will be on hand to provide tips. When you’ve finished your painting, your dog can be sworn in as a B.A.R.K. Ranger and earn a certificate and dog tag. Pop in anytime between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, no registration required. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of Weir Farm.

Exploring Stone Walls - Ranger Guided Tour - No Registation Required!
10:00 to 10:45 am on Sunday October 12

Join Ranger Tom on a ramble through the fields of Weir Farm National Historical Park to examine the three different types of stone walls on the property and learn about their rich history. The stone walls not only provide an opportunity to explore New England's geologic and cultural past, but they have also served as a source of inspiration to the artists that have lived and visited here for over 140 years. The tour will meet at the Park Sign out front of the Visitor Center - no registration required!

Owl Prowl - hosted in partnership with the Weir Preserve

The Weir Preserve of the Weir Farm Art Alliance and Weir Farm NHP are hosting their 31st annual Halloween Owl Prowl. "Owlers" will gather for a presentation by Frank Gallo about owls that live in this area, followed by a hike into the Weir Preserve where Frank will attempt to call in screech owls, barred owls and great horned owls. Registration is required and is limited to 25 people. We will follow up via email to confirm if you are in the program or on the waitlist and to get more information if needed.

Weir Farm Artists Collective - Opportunity for Local Artists to Gather and Build Community!
The Weir Farm Artist Collective is a collaboration of independent artists following the tradition of creativity within the Weir Farm landscape. The first Thursday of the month will be a gathering in the Burlingham Barn with a focused discussion topic, and the third Thursday of the month will be a ‘paint out’ style gathering where artists can come to the park and make art together – parking for the ‘paint out’ days on third Thursdays will be in the overflow parking lot near the Weir Barn. Mark your calendars for 10:00 am on 1st and 3rd Thursdays!
