Voyageurs National Park Reminds Visitors Reservations Are Required For All 2017 Overnight Stays Within The Park

International Falls, MN - Park staff would like to remind visitors that advanced reservations are required for all overnight stays within Voyageurs National Park. Starting in 2017, overnight stays on any boat (houseboat, cabin cruiser, sailboat) and any campsite will require a reservation.

Tent camping and Houseboat reservations for the 2017 season will open on November 15, 2016 at 10 am CDT. Park staff encourages visitors, who wish to camp or stay overnight on a houseboat or any other boat, to make a reservation as soon as they know their plans.

Park Management would like to let the public know that all income generated from overnight fees stays at Voyageurs National Park. These fees are used for the improvement of amenities at the sites which include: mooring rings, docks, bear-proof food lockers, tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and site cleaning.

Visitors may make reservations by going on-line at www.recreation.gov or by calling the National Call Center at (877) 444-6777. 

A reminder to all visitors who use www.recreation.gov, in the main search box enter:  Voyageurs National Park Camping Permits or Voyageurs National Park Houseboat Permits.
