![]() NPS Graphic Be a Girl Scout Ranger at Valley ForgeThe National Park Service and Girl Scouts of the United States of America have partnered to create the Girl Scout Ranger Program. At Valley Forge National Historical Park, Girl Scouts are invited to explore the outdoors, learn about the history of the park, participate in existing educational or volunteer service projects, or design their own experience or project to align with Journey work, badge activities, or a Take Action or Highest Award project. Time spent completing Girl Scout badges in the park can also be counted towards the Girl Scout Ranger Program. How to Earn a Certificate or PatchTo earn a Girl Scout Ranger certificate, Girl Scouts must participate in any of the activities listed below for a minimum of five (5) hours. Once these hours are completed, download the Girl Scout Ranger Certificate of Completion, which is based on the honor system. To earn a Girl Scout Ranger patch, certificate of completion, and letter of recognition, Girl Scouts must participate in any of the activities listed below for a minimum of ten (10) hours.
