KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. — The National Park Service has released a Request for Proposals to lease the Kennedy Supplee mansion, carriage house and associated grounds for use as a restaurant, office, or other light commercial use for a period of ten (10) years.

With funding from the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA), the National Park Service plans to fully rehabilitate the Kennedy Supplee Mansion and the surrounding Port Kennedy area. The mansion itself will receive a full exterior and interior rehabilitation, including all new building systems. The associated carriage house will also be rehabilitated. Utilities will be upgraded as necessary. Driveways, parking lots and the surrounding landscape will also be improved.

Kennedy Supplee is located in Upper Merion Township at the eastern edge of Valley Forge National Historical Park off of Pennsylvania State Route 23. The mansion is adjacent to and visible from U.S. Route 422 and is close to the commercial center of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Constructed in 1852, the Kennedy Supplee Mansion is a Victorian mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The National Park Service plans to lease Kennedy Supplee to generate income to preserve this and other historic structures within Valley Forge National Historical Park, and to potentially increase access to a building that is currently closed to the public.

Prospective offerors, interested individuals or organizations, and the general public are invited to learn more about the Request for Proposals to lease Kennedy Supplee by visiting the National Park Service website at https://go.nps.gov/ks_leasing.
