Ranger Russell: Hello Virtual Junior Rangers! Welcome to Valley Forge National Historical Park. My name is Russell and I’ll be your guide for this activity.

Valley Forge National Historical Park commemorates the six-month winter encampment of General George Washington and his Continental Army.

How to Earn Your Badge

Work on the activities on the next few pages to learn about the natural environment, history, and people of Valley Forge. All you'll need is a piece of paper, a pen or pencil to write with, and about thirty minutes to complete the activities!

At the end of the program, take the Junior Ranger pledge and become an offical Valley Forge Virtual Junior Ranger! The special Valley Forge Virtual Junior Ranger badge is available for download.

 

Kids 9 & under: complete ONE activity per page to earn your badge (three total activities)
Kids 10 & over: complete ALL activities to earn your badge (six total activities)
