Conservation Legacy Natural Resources Internship
Six Month Paid Internship

Valley Forge NHP is pleased to announce a Natural Resource Internship in cooperation with Conservation Legacy. Interns will be involved in a variety of activities associated with natural resource preservation, become familiar with issues that face natural resource managers, and work closely with NPS staff and partners to monitor and address those issues. At the same time, interns will contribute to the collection of data, and implementation of projects that benefit park resources and assist park managers in achieving management goals. The primary responsibilities of the internship will be to assist with two major natural resource initiatives: Biological Data Collection on White-Tailed Deer and Valley Creek Water Quality Monitoring.

Summer 2017 Youth Conservation Corps (YCC)
(Ages 15-18)

The YCC Program at Valley Forge centers on the control of non-native, invasive plants and animals in the park. These species are a primary threat to the natural diversity of the park ecosystem. This paid ($7.25 per hour) summer experience allows youth to connect to the natural wonders of Valley Forge.

Natural Resource Management Summer 2017 Internship
Volunteer Student Intern (non-paid)

The purpose of this internship is to provide college-level students with a practical experience in natural resource management that affords the opportunity to apply classroom theory through a "hands-on" experience with the National Park Service. At the same time interns will contribute to the collection of data and implementation of projects that benefit park resources and will assist park managers in achieving management goals.

ProRanger Philadelphia
"ProRanger Philadelphia" is an academic and technical skills training and paid internship program that is cooperatively administered by the National Park Service and Temple University. The program was established to recruit, train and employ law enforcement park rangers for the National Park Service.
