Dreams of Flight: Children’s Model Airplane Building Workshop TUSKEGEE, AL– Building a model airplane is a simple pleasure. On Saturday, August 30, 2014, Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site is hosting a Children’s Model Airplane Building Workshop in support of the Annual Labor Day Fly-In at Moton Field. This workshop will allow youth, ages 10 – 19, to build and take home a model P-51 Mustang or P-40 Warhawk type airplane. The joy of model airplane building inspired many of the Tuskegee Airmen to dreams of flight. Join us to create something with your own hands that will bring hours of enjoyment and a deep feeling of accomplishment. Get inspired by your own dreams of flight! The workshops will be held in the Hangar #2 classroom with starting times at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. CST. Participants are encouraged to register beginning at 9:00 a.m. the day of the workshops; space is limited. Parents are asked to remain with their children for the program’s entirety.
