With half a day in Capitol Reef National Park, you have time to take an easy or moderate hike, explore the Scenic Drive, and even visit the Gifford House (open seasonally) to pick up a personal-sized pie!
- Watch the park film, "Watermark," at the visitor center, and pick up a few souvenirs from the Capitol Reef Natural History Association. The film is also available online.
- Along State Route 24, stop by the Fruita Schoolhouse, Petroglyph Panel, Behunin Cabin, and some of the historic orchards.
- On the Scenic Drive, look for additional historic orchards, the Merin Smith Implement Shed, and the Gifford House.
