Welcome to the website for the only national park created solely for a Signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of four signers homes protected as national parks. The park is situated in historic Southern Maryland, within an easy drive from our nation's capital. Besides Washington D.C. the first capital of Maryland in St. Mary's City is just a short drive to the southeast and the current capital, Annapolis, is just a short drive northeast.
