Theodore Roosevelt National Park to Waive Fees During National Park Week

Visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park will cost less during National Park Week, April 17-25. The National Park Service is offering free entrance at all of its 392 parks which regularly charge fees starting Saturday, as part of its annual celebration.                                                              
 
“National parks are very special places that belong to all Americans,” said Superintendent Valerie Naylor. “This fee-free week is an invitation for everyone to visit, get outdoors after a long winter, and enjoy Theodore Roosevelt National Park.”

To celebrate National Park Week, the Friends of Theodore Roosevelt National Park (FTRNP) will hold Open House receptions on Saturday, April 24 in the North Unit Visitor Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT and in the South Unit Visitor Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. MDT. Punch and cookies will be served and information about FTRNP will be available.

Special showings of national park movies will be shown in the North and South Unit Visitor Centers on both weekends. “Our National Parks, A Seasonal Tour” is scheduled at 11 a.m. and “Hidden Treasures of America’s National Parks” will be shown at 1 p.m. in the South Unit. The North Unit Visitor Center will feature “Untold Stories of America’s National Parks” at 11 a.m. and “The National Parks of North Dakota” at 1 p.m. All of these films will be shown upon request Monday through Friday of National Park Week.
