Theodore Roosevelt National Park to Celebrate National Park Week

MEDORA, ND: The staff of Theodore Roosevelt National Park invites everyone to celebrate National Park Week, April 21 through April 29. Entrance fees will be waived at all national parks on Saturday, April 21.

National Junior Ranger Day marks the beginning of the celebration on Saturday, April 21. Activities will take place at the park’s South Unit Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. until noon MDT. Kids will design their own national park and design their own park arrowhead logo. All participants will be sworn in and will receive official Junior Ranger badges. This activity will also be offered on Saturday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Park rangers will travel to Minot Air Force Base on Friday, April 27 to distribute Annual Interagency Military Passes at the base Outdoor Recreation Center from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. CDT. Passes are available for active duty military and their dependents with the presentation of their CAC or DD-1173. While passes are limited to the quantity on hand during this visit, they are also available at Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
