National Park Fees Waived on Veterans Day

To commemorate Veterans Day, the National Park Service is offering free admission at all park units on Thursday, November 11. In addition, camping fees will be waived for the day at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, giving visitors one more fee-free opportunity to enjoy beautiful fall weather and spectacular badlands scenery.

"It is important to remember our veterans, including Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, and what they have done for our country," said Superintendent Valerie Naylor. "Spending the day visiting a national park to celebrate our nation’s heritage is a wonderful way to honor our veterans."

The other two national park units in North Dakota – Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site near Williston and Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near Stanton – are among the more than 200 national parks that never charge entrance fees.

Information on all 393 national park units is available at www.nps.gov. For further information regarding activities and events at Theodore Roosevelt National Park, please visit the park’s website at www.nps.gov/thro or call 701-623-4466.
