Entrance and camping fees will be waived for the three day weekend Saturday, February 14 through Monday, February 16. The two other national park units in North Dakota –Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site near Williston and Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site near Stanton –are among the more than 200 national parks that never charge entrance fees.
The National Park service will waive entrance fees on five other days in 2015, including the opening of National Park Week, April 18 and 19; the National Park Service's 99th birthday on August 25; National Public Lands Day on September 26; and Veterans Day on November 11.
