The Tallgrass Artist Residency is a program of the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission centered in the small community of Matfield Green, Kansas, just south of the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. The residency is a unique program that offers individual artists/artist teams time and space to retreat and research in a rural, tallgrass prairie setting. During individual residency periods, each artist will have the opportunity to provide a public program at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.
