The landscapes of Stones River National Battlefield offer visitors an array of historic and natural features to experience during their stay.

Some popular outdoor activities available at the park are:

• Bicycling
• Filming Activities
• Interpretive Programs
• Still Photography
• Walking/Hiking/Jogging

Picnicking is only permitted in the picnic area directly across the parking lot from the visitor center.

Skates, skateboards, and scooters are not permitted.

Other recreational activities such as kite flying and ball games are also prohibited.

 

Get some exercise and visit most of the park's units by walking or biking on the Murfreesboro Greenway System.
