Murfreesboro, TN - Due to a leak, water service to the Stones River National Battlefield visitor center has been shut down. Park staff will be working to locate the leak and determine a course of action. Following that we will work as quickly as possible to get a contractor to make the necessary repairs.
The visitor center will be closed to the public until at least 12 PM on Wednesday January 24, 2024 as our staff works to secure temporary restroom facilities. Once temporary facilities are in place, we will reopen the visitor lobby, museum (once recarpeting has been completed) and America's National Park's store.
Until further notice, the visitor center restrooms will be closed to the public and there will be no sources of potable water. Please plan to bring sufficient water with you when visiting the park.
We appreciate your patience as our team works through the process of restoring our water service. We will update conditions on this site and our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/StonesRiverNPS/).
