Pet Halloween Costume Contest and B.A.R.K. Ranger Event

Attention all four-legged friends! The park is hosting a Halloween B.A.R.K. Ranger Event for you and your people on Saturday, October 30, from 10 am to noon on the Seaside Lawn at the Visitor Center.

• 10-11:30 am: Drop- in education and activities provided by Sitka Animal Hospital, the Sitka Animal Shelter, and the park. You can sign up for the costume contest during this time.
• 11:30 am- Noon: Pet Costume Contest. Do you perform the best “Tricks for Treats”? Do you have a fabulous costume you just HAVE to show the world? Come make the park your runway and show us how you work it!

Socialized pets on leashes (6 ft or shorter) are welcome to join this free event. Dogs participating in activities, and learning the B.A.R.K. Ranger Code, will be given a special B.A.R.K. Ranger Badge (dog tag). Photographs will be taken, with their human’s consent, to be posted on the park’s social media page. We look forward to spending time giving some appreciation to the furry friends, and their humans, who do such a wonderful job keeping the trails clean and pleasant for everyone.
