Saratoga National Historical Park has several special events and programs planned to help you shake off winter and step into spring.

Saturday, April 21 Junior Ranger Day 10:00-4:00
Celebrate kids on Jr. Ranger Day. Children and their families can join in a variety of free,
hands-on activities including a touch table with animal skins and skulls, talk to a real wildland firefighter, run in a relay race, dress up in a uniform, or complete a Junior Ranger activity book. Children will earn their free Junior Ranger badge by participating.

Sunday, April 22 Lunch and Learn  Noon-1:00
Bring a bag lunch and beat cabin fever. Join Park Ranger Megan Stevens and enjoy a special presentation on some lesser-known topics from the American Revolution, and the origin of the National Park Service.

Thursday, April 26 Woodcock Walk  7:00-9:00 pm
Does it walk like an Egyptian, Cha-Cha-Cha, or Gangnam? Join park naturalist Linda White for a short hike to see the dancing woodcock and decide for yourself. Meet by the flagpole in the visitor center parking lot at 7 pm and walk to Tour Stop 5 and back (1.5 miles each way). See amazing dusk-time aerial displays by woodcocks, listen for owls, and look for deer or foxes too! Please bring a flashlight, water, insect repellent, and wear sturdy shoes. Event cancelled if raining.

All of the activities are free and open to the public. Come out and explore, learn, and protect your national park!
